Dreame X60 Ultra has 35 kPa and washes mops at 100°C. I checked if it made sense

For several months now, my basic home cleaning device has been a robot Dreame X50 Ultrawhich I consider to be great equipment, perfectly copes with dirt on the floor. When there was an opportunity to test a newer model in practice X60 UltraI accepted it with enthusiasm.

Lower housing and overcoming higher obstacles

Dreame X60 Ultra It looks very similar to its predecessor, the X50 Ultra. A newer device is out now though about 1 cm lowerso it can clean under even lower cabinets or other furniture. As before, the turret with the navigation laser then hides inside the housing.

The cleaning robot is equipped with: ProLeap obstacle overcoming system. The device lifts and drives over high thresholds up to 4.5 cmalso coping with double height steps up to 8.8 cm (4.5 + 4.3 cm).

During testing, however, I noticed that the X60 Ultra cannot cope with driving over a 3 cm high obstacle (the base of the desk leg) when it is narrower than the robot. Dreame, however, was not stuck on it for good, but eventually managed to get off it, and then he was no longer on it.

I don’t have any other obstacles of similar height in my house, so I couldn’t fully test the operation of this function in a real environment (except for the case described above). In turn, the double threshold in the terrace door (7 + 3 cm) turned out to be too high. The device copes with lower obstacles very efficiently.

Higher suction power and a hair-resistant brush

Suction power jump up to 35,000 Pa suggests high noise level. In practice, however, the X60 Ultra is noisy only at maximum speed. On a daily basis, the Dreame X60 Ultra does not make any more noise than its predecessor. Higher power comes in handy, for example for removing sand from carpets or gaps between floor boardswhich the X60 handles better than the X50.

Dreame X60 Ultra uses HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush 2.0 double brushwhich rotates at speed up to 1600 RPM. Its design with thick rubber elements directs dirt straight to the suction inlet. This system should be able to cope with hair up to 40 cm longwhich eliminates the need to clean the brushes after each cleaning. I checked and it actually works as promised by the manufacturer.

Cleaning robot is good at detecting, recognizing and avoiding obstacles. The manufacturer promises that the device recognizes the presence of animals, avoiding them during operation and making additional passes where it detects hair. Dreame X60 Ultra can also clean up spilled food or litter. I don’t have any pets myself, but I sometimes have guests who come to visit with their dogs. So I could check it out with a positive result.

Warm mopping and extendable side brushes

The docking station has undergone a thorough modernization. Mops are now washed at high temperature up to 100°C (in X50 Ultra it was up to 80°C). It appeared next to the cleaning fluid tank an additional tank for a liquid that neutralizes unpleasant animal odors. I don’t have pets, so I couldn’t test its effectiveness. The liquid itself has a fairly neutral scent.

As before, the clean and dirty water tanks can be replaced with a separately sold module allowing for permanent connection to water supply and sewage. I recommend doing this primarily because comfort. In addition, dirty water left in the tank may deteriorate over time unpleasant smelland the tank is not completely tight.

When it comes to mopping, the X60 Ultra uses pads heated to 40°Crotating at high speed up to 230 RPM. Combined with the emphasis on the level 15 N this translates to even more effective removal of difficult dirt. The newer model is better at this than its predecessor, although we may still encounter dirt that the Dreame X60 Ultra cannot cope with. Then a regular, manual brush will be better.

To ensure the cleanliness of the washed surface even more effectively, The pads can tilt up to 10° (±5°). Additionally, the left mopping pad may break extend by 4 cm beyond the outline of the robot housing. This allows you to clean the ends of the floor, corners and areas around furniture legs. Of course, it is also retractable side brushsweeping away the dust in the areas mentioned above.

Carpets? Almost no problems

The X60 Ultra can also handle carpets. This is facilitated by the high suction power I mentioned earlier, as well as additional functions. In order not to wet the carpet, the robot automatically raises the mopping pads to a height up to 10.5 cm. In turn, the side brush can be raised to a height up to 10 mm.

In the Dreamehome application we can, among other things, enable intensive carpet cleaning modeand also indicate what type they are. If these are long-pile carpets, it’s a complete job will disconnect the mopping pads (leaving them in the docking station) before vacuuming them. If the robot encounters short hairs on the carpet, it can raise the mopping pads to a height up to 21.5 mm. Carpets are safe.

At the end of this chapter I will explain what this is all about “almost no problems”. A small “accident” occurred during testing. Well, the cleaning robot pushed one of the mopping pads under the carpet and left it there lost. This was fortunately single incidentwhich never happened again.

Application and robot as a home guard

It is used to manage the X60 Ultra robot and all its functions Dreamehome application. This is an extensive tool that turns out to be quite easy to use over time. And if we can’t find something, we can always use the built-in search engine.

Dreame X60 Ultra has a built-in one voice assistant. Unfortunately, this assistant does not understand Polish. What’s more, if we change the language of voice messages to Polishthe assistant will stay off.

As a consolation, we have a function that allows you to turn a cleaning robot into your own kind “guardian” of the house. It’s about camera in real time. Thanks to it, we can see what is in front of the robot. We can plan a trip to a selected area and then recreate it, or we can manually control the robot and take photos or videos. Using the built-in microphone and loudspeaker, we can also talk to the person on the other side or talk to our pet.

Matter – it seems to be there, but it’s not there

Dreame boasts in the specifications on its website that The X60 Ultra is compatible with Mattera universal protocol for integrating and managing smart home devices. It may be compatible, but not at all during testing I couldn’t use it. I did not find the appropriate option in the Dreamehome application that would allow me to generate the code needed to connect the robot to the Matter system.

I will add that Initially, it was similar in Dreame X50 Ultra. There, actual support for Matter (although very limited) appeared only in December 2025 or January 2026, i.e. many months after the release of the device. Perhaps it will be the same here.

For now, it remains integration only via the cloud. This is how I connected the X50 Ultra model to the system Home Assistantwhich serves as an aggregator of the entire smart home ecosystem.

Worth buying unless you have the predecessor

Dreame X60 Ultra is a device that performs its tasks properly. The robot removes dirt from hard floors and vacuums carpets. The reduced height of the housing allows it to work under lower furniture. The navigation and obstacle recognition system works stably during typical drives.

The advantage of this model is new base stationwhich washes mops at an even higher temperature. The extendable arm with pad and movable side brush help you clean the edges of the floor. In turn, the main brushes work well even with long hair.

The software gives you access to useful functions. The Dreamehome application provides full control over the robot and allows you to view the image from the camera in real time. However, he has the equipment deficiencies in additional functions. The manufacturer did not provide the Polish voice assistant and the announced support for the Matter standard.

The starting price of the Dreame X60 Ultra robot is in Poland PLN 5,499what is high but acceptable cost. You can also find promotions that lower the price up to PLN 4,999 (at the time of writing these words). The differences between the new device and the previous generation are noticeable, but – in my opinion – they are not enough to justify replacing the older X50 Ultra with a newer version.
