Both compared smartphones have a similar photographic arsenal. The main cameras are equipped with the same matrix with the same resolution 50 Mpix (1/1.3″, 1.2 µm) and optical image stabilization. However, the older smartphone has a variable aperture here f/1.4-2.0and the newer one offers “hole” f/1.6.

An honorable duel, i.e. who takes better photos
According to our telepolis custom, two weeks ago I asked readers which of the Honor flagships takes better photos: Honor Magic7 Pro or Honor Magic8 Pro. In order not to suggest anything, I hid the real authors of individual photos and called them concepts “left smartphone” and “right smartphone”. Some of the commenters correctly guessed which was which, which wasn’t difficult at all. In my opinion, it is also clearly visible which smartphone takes better photos. However, not every voter had to agree with me, as can be seen in the survey results.
However, most readers agreed with my opinion, which until now I kept only to myself. The survey was completed 930 votes. He received almost 3/4 of them right smartphone.
| Answer selected in the survey | Number of votes | % of votes |
| Left smartphone | 129 | 13.9% |
| Right smartphone | 689 | 74.1% |
| I don’t know/can’t decide | 86 | 12.0% |
| Together | 930 | 100% |
The winner of the photo duel was the right smartphone, Honor Magic8 Pro. The left smartphone, Honor Magic7 Pro, lost in this photo duel.
You will find photos from both smartphones in our photo duel.
