A charger will come in handy for the Galaxy S26. Samsung has a new, magnetic one

The Korean manufacturer has prepared a new magnetic charger that will facilitate the use of wireless charging in the latest smartphones. There are two variants to choose from: the charging pad only for USD 49.99 (PLN 180) and the set additionally equipped with a 45 W network adapter for USD 74.99 (PLN 270). This solution ensures stable and precise connection of devices during charging.

The new accessories work not only with the latest flagships from the Galaxy S26 series. They are also compatible with last year’s Galaxy S25 series. The Qi2 standard allows the use of these chargers also with smartphones from other manufacturers, provided they have received an appropriate certificate.

Galaxy S26 series phones do not have magnets mounted directly under the back cover. This means that the charger’s magnetic attraction function will only work when the user puts a special case on the smartphone. Samsung has prepared several types of cases supporting this technology, which enable stable attachment of accessories.

Charging efficiency varies depending on your phone model. The highest power of 25 W is offered by the Galaxy S26 Ultra model. The Galaxy S26+ variant can be charged at 20 W, while the basic Galaxy S26 limits this process to 15 W. Samsung warns that full speed is only available when using original Qi2 accessories.

The purchase of the Galaxy magnetic charger itself is not the only expense. A suitable case with a magnet will also be useful. Such cases are already available in the official Polish online store of Samsung. Prices start from PLN 219.

Why didn’t Samsung install a magnet inside the case, as Google, among others, do in Pixels and Apple iPhones? In this way, the Korean manufacturer wanted to maintain the wireless reverse charging function, which this magnet would interfere with. “Magnetic” competitors do not have this function.
