Lidl entered into cooperation with AOK Plus, a health insurer operating in Saxony and Thuringia. Therefore, it is introducing changes to the Lidl Plus application, where it will reward users for a healthy lifestyle. It’s a pity that not in Poland yet.

The change will allow users of the Lidl Plus application to earn discounts on purchases for a healthy lifestyle. The store’s customers will have to complete various challenges related to sports or food.
In this way, the chain, in cooperation with the insurer, wants to encourage customers to build healthier habits. This fits into the store’s broader plan, which is trying to increase the assortment of plant-based and whole-grain products.
Healthy eating starts with the right offer and clear tips for the consumer. By working with AOK Plus, we combine our digital reach with specific incentives that make it easier to choose healthier products.
For now, the program has been launched in Saxony and Thuringia, where AOK Plus operates. Lidl has approximately 210 outlets in these locations, so ultimately a large number of customers will benefit from the program. It is not known whether the chain has similar plans for other markets, including Poland, but it would certainly be an interesting proposition.
