WhatsApp surprises. You can add your friends to a special list

The new feature has appeared in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.26.5.13 for now, so it is not yet available to users of the stable version of the application. However, this is an announcement of upcoming changes.

The novelty is related to another function that Meta intends to add to WhatsApp. It’s about being able to create your own contact lists. This way we will be able to separate, for example, people from work, family or friends from school. Then, when publishing a new status, we will choose for whom the letter should be visible.

Now WhatsApp is going to add one more list – close friends. We will decide who we want to put on it. You can also edit the list at any time, i.e. add more contacts or delete previously added ones. Thanks to this, we will be able to share some updates only with the people closest to us.

Importantly, the changes will not have retroactive effect. If someone was on your Close Friends list when you shared your new status, they will still have access to your post after you remove them from your list. However, she will no longer see new ones, which we will publish only for those closest to us.
