Back to the past. This device will be appreciated by fans of retro music
FiiO DM13 is a new CD player designed for retro music enthusiasts.
The world of electronics has become saturated with retro equipment. This is not surprising in itself. What may be even more surprising is the fact that “retro” these days means technologies such as… CDs. The latest manifestation of this trend is the announcement FiiO DM13, a new Discman intended for lovers of good sound who remember the 90s with fondness.
FiiO DM13 – CD player with Bluetooth connectivity
To be clear, although the FiiO DM13 fits into the retro trend, we are dealing with a thoroughly modern player here. The device, in addition to classic CDs, can handle formats such as MP3, FLAC, WAC, AAC and WMA. In addition to the classic socket 3.5mm jack it also has 4.4mm balanced jack and communication support Bluetooth. What’s more, the list of codecs supported in this way is long, because in addition to the standard SBC includes aptX, aptX HD and aptX LL.

The FiiO DM13 can be used as a portable player, even offering 8 hours of operation on a single charge, but also in stationary mode.
The device is expected to go on sale in September 2024. Its price is expected to be 179 dollars (approx. PLN 700). This seems to be an interesting proposition for both young people fascinated by retro equipment and aging music lovers who still have a closet somewhere at home stuffed to the brim with records bought somewhere at the turn of the millennium.
