The government increases the powers of the services. And without us knowing about it
Polish services can gain access to a lot of data and information through the back door. This may be due to the AI Act prepared by the Ministry of Digitization.

The Ministry of Digitization has prepared a draft act on artificial intelligence systems, briefly called the AI Act. Last Friday was the deadline for submitting comments. Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reached several of them. Representatives of many companies are ringing bells and warning that the regulations are a backdoor for services to collect information.
Will the services obtain secret information?
According to representatives of companies that develop artificial intelligence, the introduction of regulations in the form proposed by the Ministry of Digitization will have disastrous consequences. According to them, the services (including the Internal Security Agency, the police, the prosecutor’s office, the Intelligence Agency and the Central Anticorruption Bureau) will be able to gain access to company secrets in a very simple way.
Under the acts, the Commission for the Development and Security of Artificial Intelligence (KRiBSI) will be established. It will have extensive control powers. The procedure itself raises huge doubts, because the regulations state that the commission will not have to have any reason to carry out an inspection. This could be a simple whim of officials. Moreover, the inspection will be able to be carried out not only by KRiBSI officials, but also by “trusted persons”, i.e., in theory, even someone from the street.
Legally, you cannot take a person from the street to control you. It is difficult to understand why this solution was chosen. We believe this creates a risk of business secrets being stolen.
– said Tomas Snażyk, president of AI Chamber.
The list of controversies does not end there. KRiBSI will be able to share the inspection results with the services. Thus, if they want, they will gain insight into the secrets of many companies.
