Within a few days, 10.5 million Poles will receive a message from ZUS. We translate
The beginning of the year is traditionally the period of settlements for the past 12 months. This means intensified work at tax offices, but also at ZUS. Related documents will soon be sent to 10.5 million Poles.
ZUS sends messages to Poles
ZUS announced that it has started sending PIT returns to people who received social security benefits in 2025, including pensions, pensions and allowances. Declarations will be sent by the end of February. However, if someone does not want to wait for the receipt, they will also be available at PUE/eZUS on February 4.
Who will receive PIT from ZUS? In total, there are as many as 10.5 million Poles:
- PIT-40A – retirees and disability pensioners who received benefits from ZUS throughout the year and have an underpayment or a zero balance.
- PIT-11A – people who received social insurance benefits, including maternity, sickness, care or rehabilitation benefits.
- PIT-11 – persons who received benefits due after a deceased person, alimony deducted from the benefit paid by ZUS on the basis of a court judgment or to meet the needs of the family (in the event of property separation).
People who receive PIT-40A do not have to submit a tax return themselves. In case of underpayment, the amount will be deducted from the benefit for April. However, in the case of PIT-11A and PIT-11, you can do it yourself or wait until April 30, when the tax office will generate an automatic return in the e-PIT service.
However, it is worth remembering that in the case of deductions from income or tax, it is necessary to submit PIT-37 or PIT-36, because they will not be automatically taken into account.
