PKO BP warned and I ignored it. I don’t part with cash anymore
Without going into personal details, but to give you an idea: On Saturday, I spent most of the day and half the night with a family member in the ER. Fortunately, he did not stay in the hospital, but it was necessary to buy medicines. It’s best to do it now. After dropping off my family at the apartment, I had to quickly look for a night pharmacy that stocked this particular preparation. There is one, in a completely different part of the city. I get in the car and drive.
Cash not only at home for emergencies, but always with you
The first problem was in the parking lot next to the pharmacy: I couldn’t pay for the ticket at the parking meter using my smartphone. Specie? I have 2 zlotys. The problem is that the parking meter does not give change and only accepts the deducted amount, and he wanted PLN 1. So I couldn’t pay more, even though I wanted to. After increasing the time in it, he wanted PLN 5. I don’t have that many. Too bad, I park without paying for the space. I don’t have time to look for free parking nearby, I need to buy medicine.
And here comes another problem: how can I pay for medicines if the payment by card added to the phone and watch does not go through? Fortunately, the application still supported some functions during work, so BLIK still worked. Luckily. Because what would happen if it didn’t work? I would have to go home to get the cash and go back to the pharmacy, which would waste an hour. It doesn’t seem like much, but in two days I slept a total of about 6 hours and I was already running on fumes.
It’s not the bank’s fault
Do I have a complaint against the bank? Of course not. The announcement about the disruption appeared the day before and I was aware of it. Finally, information about it appeared on our website. Well, I didn’t plan to go to the emergency room or spend so much time there that technical work would concern me. If the entire application was disconnected, including BLIK, I would be in a very bad position. A position I wouldn’t be in if I had cash with me. Learn from my mistakes and keep paper money not only at home but also in your pocket. Just for such occasions.
