This cheap smartphone will last a long time. New Realme with a reinforced housing
The name of the Realme Note series may suggest that these are at least mid-range, if not higher-end phones, but this manufacturer offers a line of very cheap models that still have their strong features. Phones such as Realme Note 60 and Note 70T have already been sold in Poland, available in the segment up to PLN 500, so Realme Note 80 should also come to us.
Realme Note 80 is as durable as a tough guy
To begin with, Realme Note 80 debuted in selected Southeast Asian countries (Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines).
One of the strong points of the Realme Note 80 is that it boasts the MIL-STD-810H military certification and ArmorShell protection. Thanks to this, it will survive falls from a height of up to 1.8 meters. Dust and splash resistance specified by the IP54 standard is slightly lower than in a typical armored device, but it provides protection against dust and splashes.
Another advantage of the new model may be a battery with a large capacity of 6300 mAh. Although this is no longer a record size for today’s times (even the recently shown Realme C83 5G has more), we still get more than in many other budget phones. The phone supports 15 W charging, and the manufacturer promises that the cell will retain 80% of its maximum condition even after four years of daily use.
On the front of the flat, 7.94 mm thick housing there is a 6.74-inch IPS screen with HD+ resolution (1600 x 720). The panel offers a peak brightness of 563 nits.
The heart of the smartphone is the Unisoc T7250 chip with Mali-G57 graphics. The work is supported by 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of internal memory. The whole thing works under the control of Android 15 with the company’s Realme UI overlay.
The photo section is nothing surprising, we get the basic minimum: an 8 Mpix main camera with autofocus on the back and a 5 Mpix front camera for selfies. Communication facilities include Dual SIM with 4G LTE network support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C port and a classic 3.5 mm headphone jack. However, the equipment list lacks support for the 5G network and the NFC module.
Customers can choose from two color versions: blue Glacier Blue and black Storm Black. The phone is already available in Indonesia, where it costs approximately PLN 390. If it appears here, it should not exceed PLN 500.
Reports indicate that Realme Note 80 5G with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chip will also debut soon. However, even the basic version with LTE may turn out to be an interesting choice as a smartphone for everyday use, e.g. for seniors.
