OnePlus Turbo 6 and 6V are breaking records. Battery up to 9000 mAh
OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V have already appeared in announcements in recent days, but the introduction of these two models is actually a surprise. Previously, the manufacturer did not have such a series, so both the name and numbering are a bit surprising. This does not change the fact that both new products are a very interesting proposition on the mid-range phone market.
OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V are here
Both smartphones are equipped with the same, flat, 6.78-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1.5K and a brightness of up to 1,800 nits. The difference can be seen in the refresh rate – the more expensive Turbo 6 offers 165 Hz, while the Turbo 6V model stops at the still excellent level of 144 Hz. The screens have optical fingerprint readers.
The appearance of the cases strongly refers to the OnePlus 15 series and is distinguished by a full package of resistance standards: IP66, IP68 and IP69, which guarantees exceptional resistance to dust and pressurized water.
The heart of the more powerful OnePlus Turbo 6 is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 system. Thanks to cooperation with Qualcomm and the use of an additional, proprietary gaming chip, the smartphone will offer native support for 165 frames per second in popular mobile games, such as Call of Duty Mobile. The manufacturer boasts that the optimization of the system kernel allowed for an 8% reduction in energy consumption while playing. Performance is also ensured by LPDDR5X RAM (12 or 16 GB) and UFS 4.1 mass memory (256 or 512 GB).
In turn, the cheaper variant, Turbo 6V, is powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, which should also provide very decent performance. Here, in turn, we find LPDDR4X RAM (8 or 12 GB) and UFS 3.1 mass memory (256 or 512 GB).
In both models, temperatures are controlled by the Glacier cooling system, transferred directly from the brand’s flagship models.
The photo section is no longer very impressive. It includes a 50-megapixel main camera (Sony LYT-600 in Turbo 6 and OV50D in Turbo 6V) with optical image stabilization (OIS), supported by a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
The power supply section is impressive. The OnePlus Turbo 6 series is equipped with powerful cells with a capacity of up to 9000 mAh. Another advantage is SuperVOOC fast charging with a power of 80 W and wired reverse charging with a power of up to 27 W, thanks to which the phone can serve as a very efficient powerbank for other devices. Despite such large batteries, smartphones remain a reasonable thickness of 8.5 mm and weigh approximately 215 g.
Both models are managed by Android 16 with ColorOS 16.
Availability and prices
The smartphones will go on sale in China today and will be available in silver, black and green colors. The prices promise to be extremely attractive. The basic variant of the OnePlus Turbo 6V (8/256 GB) model costs 1,899 yuan (approx. PLN 990), while the more powerful OnePlus Turbo 6 (12/256 GB) is priced at 2,299 yuan (approx. PLN 1,190). The top 16/512 GB variant costs 3,099 yuan, or PLN 1,600.
According to unofficial reports, the Turbo 6V model may soon debut on global markets as a new representative of the popular Nord CE series. In turn, in OnePlus Turbo 6, some people see a preview of the OnePlus Nrd 6 model.
