Like the variant from China, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in the global version is to be equipped with a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, protected by Dragon Crystal Glass. Under the hood there is a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 system.
The strongest accent is, of course, the set of cameras with Leica lenses:
- 50 Mpix (main) – Light Hunter 1050L matrix in 1 inch format, variable lens aperture,
- 50 Mpix (ultra wide angle) with macro function,
- 200 Mpix (telescopic periscope) – Samsung ISOCELL S5KHPE sensor with continuous optical zoom in the range of 75–100 mm,
- 50 Mpix (front) with 4K video recording.
However, there is a difference – the battery in the global version has a capacity of 6000 mAh, 800 mAh less than in the Chinese model (6800 mAh). In fact, nothing new, and this is due to international regulations regarding batteries. Wired charging reaches a power of 90 W, and wireless charging – 50 W. The phone has an IP68/IP69 resistance certificate.
In turn, the standard Xiaomi 17 model has a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED screen, 1.5K (120 Hz) resolution, the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 system and a triple set of 50 Mpix cameras with Leica lenses. The operating time is provided by a 6330 mAh battery with 100 W charging.
How much will they cost?
The leaks show that Xiaomi 17 will be available in two variants: a basic one with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of mass storage for EUR 999 (approx. PLN 4,200) and a more powerful one with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB for EUR 1,099 (approx. PLN 4,620).
Xiaomi 17 Ultra will also debut in two configurations: 16 GB RAM with 512 GB of memory for EUR 1,499 (approx. PLN 6,300) and the top variant with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB for EUR 1,699 (approx. PLN 7,140).
What about the Leica edition?
Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition is a separate issue – an exclusive version with a mechanical zoom ring around the camera module, a two-tone housing and Leica film filters in the software. In China, it costs more than the standard Ultra, but it is not yet known whether it will appear on global markets – Xiaomi’s teaser only promotes the basic variant.
During the premiere, Xiaomi will also show its two tablets globally – Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro.
