Books will never be boring again. Kobo comes into color
Kobo presented two new e-book readers. It's impossible not to love them.
Two new models of Kobo readers are: 7-inch Libra Color, 6-inch Clara Color and 6-inch Clara BW with traditional black and white screen. All of them are equipped with screens imitating paper and are waterproof (IPX8). Thanks to this, they will be great traveling companions, also on beaches and in the wilderness. Their housings are made of ecological materials, such as plastic caught from the oceans or CDs from landfills. The manufacturer also ensures that the battery is easy to repair and replace, so the equipment will last for many years.
Kobo readers finally in color
New models of Kobo readers are equipped with: Kaleido 3 E Ink screens, already known to owners of PocketBook readers, and the Kobo Clara BW has an E Ink Carta 1300 screen. Kobo informs that the screens have been optimized by the manufacturer to best reproduce colors. However, here too the colors displayed will be subtle, and the whole thing retains all the advantages of E Ink – no reflections, visibility in direct sunlight, energy saving (electricity is only needed to refresh the page) and a matte surface imitating paper. Both models are equipped with variable temperature screen lighting.
The new Kobo e-readers provide access to the Kobo.com bookstore and have integration with the OneDrive, Dropbox and Google Drive clouds, where you can place books purchased in other online bookstores and save notes. Audiobooks can be played on headphones or a speaker connected via Bluetooth.
The Kobo Libra Color model can also work with the Kobo Stylus 2 stylus, which can be purchased separately for handwriting and highlighting fragments of books. It is worth adding here that Kobo has a patent for a unique system for creating annotations in e-books, which will certainly delight students. Kobo Clara Color allows you to mark parts of books with your finger on the touch screen.
Kobo Libra Color will be available for PLN 999. This model has 32 GB of memory and an ergonomic case that fits perfectly in your hand. The Kobo Stylus 2 stylus can be purchased separately for PLN 319.
Kobo Clara Color will be available for PLN 699a Kobo Clara BW (with a black and white screen) for PLN 619. Both have 16 GB of memory for books and audiobooks.
Pre-orders will be available on April 10, Regular sales will start on April 30. You can buy various, colorful SleepCover cases for readers, which put the screen to sleep when closed. Prices range between PLN 70 and PLN 179.
