Spotify is closing the service. Last chance to get your money back
Spotify is shutting down Car Thing and owners have one last chance to get a refund. The application has just displayed the last farewell message for all its owners.

Spotify’s Car Thing is a device launched four years ago, designed to expand some of your phone’s functionality, most notably Spotify playback. It premiered in February 2022, but the first reviews were not the best. Spotify announced in May that the service would be closed in December.
Spotify has officially shut down its Car Thing add-on, which offered seamless control over music and playlists while driving. He gave the owners just over a month to contact the company and get their money back. The end of the service is scheduled for January 14, 2025. The device has just started displaying its last message.
Car Thing is discontinued and not working. Thank you for traveling together, we wish you safe travels. For more information visit our website. Please contact customer service no later than January 14, 2025 to discuss your refund option.

The company recommends that you restore your devices to factory defaults and safely dispose of your device in accordance with local e-waste guidelines.
