Nadciąga nowy król SSD. Takiej wydajności jeszcze nie było

The new SSD king is coming. Such efficiency has never been seen before

If you are building a new computer set and need the highest performance, Crucial has something for you. Their new SSD will be the fastest on the market.

Although the interface PCI Express 5.0 entered the consumer market in late 2021 with processors Intel Alder Lake-S, it took a long time to popularize it. The problem was the lack of support from the site AMDbut also low availability of appropriate controllers and memory chips for SSD.

Crucial T705 will offer performance up to 14,500 MB/s

However, the situation changed dramatically last year, and manufacturers one by one started offering them PCIe 5.0 SSD. And although one of the most successful models so far was the brand’s proposal Crucialit looks like the Americans are preparing an even more efficient monster.

Crucial T705 is a semiconductor medium in M.2 2280, that uses the interface PCI Express 5.0 x4 and protocol NVMe 2.0. The decision was made here to use 232-layer dice 3D TLC NAND from Micron, but the controller used and the type and size of DRAM memory remain unknown.

The new SSD will offer Americans up to 14,500 MB/s for reading and up to 12,700 MB/s for sequential writing and up to 1,500,000 IOPS for reading and up to 1,800,000 IOPS for random recording. This is a significant leap in performance compared to the Crucial T700 modelwhich provides up to 12,400 MB/s and up to 1,500,000 IOPS.

Performance improvement suggests using a new controller Phison E26 Max14um which would also mean lower power consumption and lower temperatures. It is also possible that the DRAM has been increased. However, these are speculations, as the full specification has not been officially revealed yet.

Crucial T705 will go on sale in three capacities – 1, 2 and 4 TB and three versions – “bare”, with a radiator and with a white radiator. Suggested prices and TBW limits remain unknown.
