Biedronka with the announced new product. Already in over 200 stores
Biedronka boasted that 210 electric vehicle charging stations have already been made available to customers. Another 170 will be built soon.
The Act on Electromobility and Alternative Fuels will come into force on January 1, 2025. It requires electric car charging stations to be placed in front of non-residential buildings that are not small and medium-sized enterprises and have more than 20 parking spaces. One of the chains that is already intensively preparing for this is Biedronka.
Biedronka is installing charging stations for electric cars
Biedronka boasted that electric car charging stations are now available in 210 locations across the country. In total, there are 400 stations with over 1,100 connections (630 put into service). Most of them are in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship (85), Silesian Voivodeship (66) and Masovian Voivodeship (52).

The worst performers in this respect are the following voivodeships: Świętokrzyskie (10), Warmian-Masurian (12), Opole (17), Podkarpackie (19), Podlaskie (19) and Łódź (19).
We observe that, in addition to shopping, our customers increasingly use other services available right next to Biedronka stores, such as parcel machines or car charging stations. We make sure that people on vacation and traveling around Poland in electric cars can move around without stress about the range of their cars, and at the same time use the time when the vehicle is charging to do some shopping.
– says Paweł Stolecki, Operations Director and Member of the Management Board of the Biedronka chain.
Electric car charging stations are being created in cooperation with Powerdot. Each of them has a total power of 120 kW and offers three CCS, ChaDeMo and AC connectors. Thanks to this, owners of different cars can use the service. Biedronka claims that charging an average-sized battery takes about 20 minutes.
Another 170 such points are to appear soon. By the end of 2024, another 500 facilities are to be built, of which 300-400 will be put into use by customers.
