Launch mObywatel and submit an application. Up to PLN 1,200 up for grabs
Poles can now apply for the so-called energy voucher. The money should be paid out by the end of 2024. The thing is, it’s not there yet.
For several days now, Poles have been able to apply for an energy voucher, which is financial support from the government that is supposed to protect the least affluent households from rising electricity prices. In total, Poles can count on up to PLN 1,200. In theory, the money should be paid by the end of 2024, but there is no budget for this yet. — Rzeczpospolita reports.
Poles jumped at the energy voucher
Applications for the energy voucher can be submitted in paper form, at the municipal office, as well as digitally, including via the mObywatel application. The deadline for this is September 30. Then the offices have 60 days to consider the application. The next step is to pay the benefit, which should be implemented by the end of 2024. The thing is that the funds from the ministry have not yet arrived.
We have until the end of 2024 to pay it off, but the ministry has not yet received any funds for this purpose.
– says the press office of the Łódź City Hall.
Despite this, Poles are eager to apply for energy vouchers. In Bydgoszcz, 455 applications have already been submitted, in Lublin around 450, in Poznań 813 in the first two days, and in Łódź even 669. However, this is just the beginning. In Łódź alone, officials expect as many as 30-40 thousand applications. Interestingly, in most cases, Poles decide on the traditional, paper version of the document. Far fewer people do it in the digital version. Many people also come with questions about the requirements.
