This movie just won 6 Oscars. You can watch it on streaming

Despite the record number of nominations for “Sinners” (16 nominations and only four statuettes), the undisputed winner in this race was the film “One Battle After Another”. This film won as many as 6 statuettes out of 13 nominations. Not without significance is the fact that it is a film with Leonardo DiCaprio in the main role. And although he did not win the award for the best leading actor this time, he once again proved that he not only has talent, but also makes good choices when it comes to films. And when we talk about the number of statuettes, we mean key categories such as best film, director (Paul Thomas Anderson), supporting actor (Sean Penn), adapted screenplay, as well as for casting and editing.

We are dealing here with a story inspired by the novel “Vineland” by Thomas Pynchon from 1990. The plot presents the fate of a fictional group called French 75, consisting of radical left-wing revolutionaries. But this is not only a story about revolution. The rebels unite to save the daughter of one of them, and they fight against a common enemy – Colonel Steven J. Lockjaw. As we can guess, the fighters want to save the daughter of Bob Ferguson, played by the still charming Leonardo DiCaprio. This is a characteristic character, unfortunately, a bit lacking consciousness for a reason permanent stoned state. But as you can see, his character sticks deep in the viewers’ memory and gives food for thought.

The film is quite a successful mix of thriller, crime and black comedy. You can listen to both the shooting and successful dialogues, and sometimes smile from ear to ear. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film boasts high ratings from both critics (94%) and viewers (85%).
