This is what OnePlus Watch 4 will look like. It has a titanium case
A few days ago, Oppo began announcing the premiere of the Oppo Watch X3 watch, which will debut in a week. There is already a lot of additional information about this topic circulating on the Chinese website Weibo, along with live photos. Sources say that the watch will be released on global markets primarily as OnePlus Watch 4. However, it cannot be ruled out that the manufacturer will also introduce this watch under the Oppo brand.
All titanium alloy construction
The most interesting thing about the leaks seems to be the announcements about the casing. According to them, the manufacturer completely abandoned the internal composite frame, cutting the case from a single block of TC4 aviation titanium. This engineering treatment makes the watch 16% lighter and 6.4% slimmer than its predecessor. Chinese sources refer to this solution as “integral titanium”.
Live photos also shed a completely different light on the design of the watch. The device attracts attention with its unusual, 12-sided bezel surrounding sapphire glass, which is somewhat reminiscent of the design of some Huawei watches. For traditionalists, there is a completely round version of Gravity Black.
The design is prepared for extreme conditions, which is confirmed by water and dust resistance certificates (IP68 and IP69), as well as the MIL-STD-810H military standard. The screen reaches an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits, but this value is only activated during active training in direct sunlight.
Reports indicate that the manufacturer will again use an architecture combining two processors – a more efficient Qualcomm system from the Snapdragon W family and an energy-saving BES2800 chip. Smooth operation will be ensured by 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of data is allocated, and the power supply is provided by a 632 mAh cell with 10 W magnetic charging. It is also known that the Chinese variant will offer stand-alone eSIM connectivity, but it is not known whether this function will ultimately be included in the global version of the watch.
The smartwatch supports universal 22 mm telescopes, but dedicated straps from previous generations (OnePlus Watch 2/3) will not fit due to the changed mounting profile. The set includes new, more flexible 22 mm straps with a segmented structure that ensure better skin breathing.
The watch will be presented in China on March 17.
