This is what the first console with the new Intel Lunar Lake system looks like
Portable consoles with AMD Ryzen Z1 systems may soon gain a serious competitor. The first models with Intel Lunar Lake processors are already being created.
In recent months, the portable console market has really boomed. Much of this is due to Valve, which presented the Steam Deck. Other manufacturers quickly followed suit, including ASUS, Lenovo and MSI, and it seems that it is only a matter of time before new models and new generations of these devices are available. One of them is based on new Intel Lunar Lake chips.
The first portable console with Lunar Lake
It cannot be denied that until now the portable console market has been largely dominated by AMD and their Ryzen Z1 series systems. In fact, the only exception here is the MSI Claw model, which uses Intel components and did not fare well because its performance lags slightly behind its competitors. However, the Blues do not intend to give up and the new generation of their processors may shake their rival's position.
The first portable console based on the Intel Lunar Lake series system is to be presented at the upcoming Computex 2024 trade fair, which will take place in early June. This is a new generation of processors that replaces the Meteor Lake series. The device will offer a 10.95-inch screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels.
The equipment, marked as GP10, will be developed by the Chinese brand Shenzhen Weibu Information Inc. The console will also offer up to 64 GB of LPDDR5x memory and 2 TB of space on the M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD drive. There will also be a USB4 type C connector, a 3.5 mm mini-jack headphone output, a microSD memory card reader and WiFi support. 6.
