Changes in the design and camera system

The published graphics show that the smartphone is equipped with a triple set of cameras on the back. It was similar in its predecessor, the Phone (3a) model.

The manufacturer has changed the layout of the Glyph diodes. These have been moved under the camera section instead of surrounding the lenses.

The power and volume buttons have been moved to the right edge of the housing. They are now located higher than on previous models. There is a dedicated Essential Key button on the left side.

New processor and Android 16

Nothing Phone (4a) is to receive the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. The smartphone will run Nothing OS 4.0 software, based on Android 16. The device will offer an AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.82 inches and a resolution of 1.5K. The image refresh rate will be 120 Hz.

The whole thing will be powered by a 5,400 mAh battery with support for 80 W fast charging. The company’s president, Carl Pei, announced recently that this model will bring the mid-range series closer to flagships in terms of performance and materials. The official premiere will take place on March 5, 2026 in London.
