Nintendo has a new console. As if
Nintendo Alarmo has been hacked. You can now play games… or at least one game, on the Japanese giant’s unusual hardware.
When the whole world waits with bated breath for the announcement of his successor Nintendo Switch, the Japanese giant plays the biggest internet troll and announces new, sometimes downright absurd, projects almost every day. One of them is Nintendo Alarm, i.e. an unusual alarm clock with a sleep monitoring function.
Or maybe it’s just appearances? Maybe the new Nintendo console has secretly gone on sale and it is Alarmo? And what does the author of this news think about that makes such crazy ideas come to his mind?
Doom launched on Nintendo Alarmo
Well, it doesn’t take anything, and the Nintendo Alarmo can actually be used as a gaming console. Maybe not All right a gaming console, but it meets the definition. All thanks to a hacker hiding under the nickname Gary (GaryOderNichts), who managed to break the alarm clock of the Japanese and play the iconic Doom on it. Looking at the video provided by the author, the game works better than on most PCs in 1993, although the controls using the built-in controls are probably baby less comfortable than using a keyboard.
Interestingly, the entire operation apparently didn’t happen at all does not require modification of equipment, and the game can be launched directly from a pendrive connected to the alarm clock. Of course, this is just a curiosity, but if you keep your own list of devices that run Doom even though they shouldn’t, feel free to add a watch with an alarm clock to it.
