Only in July, almost four years after the premiere, there was a breakthrough and for the first time Windows 11 took the lead. Not only did he not give it up, but he also significantly increased his advantage.
From December 2025, Windows 10 began to drastically lose popularity. This is probably due to the end of support for this system. In just 2 months, its market share dropped from over 44 to less than 27 percent. At the same time, Windows 11 grew to over 72 percent. Yes, eleven is already on almost 3/4 of computers.
It is not known how much of this success is due to the updates that users have been holding off on so far, and to what extent it is the replacement of computers with new models that meet the requirements of Windows 11.
