NVIDIA kills cheap GeForce GTX graphics cards
This is the end of the cheapest graphics cards from Green. NVIDIA officially ends the production of GTX models, and only newer RTX systems will be available in stores.
There are three important manufacturers on the consumer graphics card market – AMD, Intel and NVIDIA. The last of these companies has been the king for a long time. Their products are chosen by as many as 76.9% of players. Reason? Top performance and support for the latest technologies.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 16 series debuted in 2019
Unfortunately, Chinese sources report that Older NVIDIA GeForce GTX systems will soon disappear from stores. Americans are officially killing their oldest, weakest and cheapest proposals.
As we wrote about in December, NVIDIA ends the production of GeForce GTX 16 graphics cards. The current stock levels are addressed to AiB partners, i.e. companies such as ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI, Palit, etc. It is estimated that the supplies should be used within the next 1-3 months.
Therefore, soon we will not find NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1630 or GTX 1650 systems in stores, currently available in Poland for even PLN 630. Instead, you will have to use the more efficient, but also more expensive GeForce RTX 3050 valued in Polish stores at approximately PLN 850.
What about current NVIDIA GeForce GTX 16 graphics card owners and drivers? You can sleep peacefully. The Greens’ software will continue to support them and this is unlikely to change anytime soon. NVIDIA still supports GeForce GTX 700 systems in its drivers, which debuted on the market 11 years ago.
