Do you have an electrician? Avoid these chargers and you will be fine

They checked electric charging stations. Distortion by up to 37%

This problem was encountered by EVCI Global, an independent authority that inspects charging stations in the UK. It turns out that as many as 31.5% of the inspected chargers provide incorrect electricity consumption values. These are understated or overstated. It is worth emphasizing that the standard threshold is 2% deviation. Such a station is considered operational.

Of course, the key issue here is the size of the error itself. 85% of faulty energy distributors generated a measurement error ranging from 2 to 5%. 15% exceeded this level. The infamous record holder distorted the results by as much as 37% to the detriment of the vehicle owner.

But what does it look like in Poland? Well, Radio ZET journalists decided to verify this. Well, after contacting the Office of Technical Inspection, which is responsible for approving charging stations for use, they determined that no tests are carried out in Poland regarding the correct reading. The owner of the station is responsible for this aspect and only he controls it. Which, unfortunately, gives a much wider scope for abuse than the faulty stations in Great Britain.
