The high-profile premiere is tonight on HBO. Many people are waiting for a hit

The world of “Game of Thrones” this time in a comedy way

The premiere overseas has already taken place, and the first reviews are quite enthusiastic and a bit surprising. “The Guardian” calls the new production quite bluntly, but also accurately: “a wonderful, disgusting comedy is the best version of Game of Thrones.” The reviewer does not beat around the bush, but writes at the very beginning that the first episode can be watched with your mouth open in surprise, wondering what game HBO is playing with the viewer.

However, it is known that there are as many opinions as there are viewers and it is best to suggest your own. However, it is pleasing that the “Game of Thrones” franchise has grown like a lush oak tree, after the not very warmly received “Rogue of the Dragon” series. This is probably mainly due to the different convention of this type of production than before. However, comedies are necessary and viewers like to smile from time to time in front of the screen. Dunk is a vagabond knight, a representative of a lower class who cannot afford castles or even a living, and must spend entire nights sleeping under trees. Moreover, HBO does not present him as someone particularly brilliant. But as the hero proves, “Anyone can become a knight.”

Dunk may not be extremely intelligent, but he is huge and strong, and his role was played by Peter Claffley, a former rugby player from Galway. Combined with the character of his squire – a small, bald boy called Egg, both characters create a perfect comedy duo. The viewer feels like they have a chance to have fun with them until the very end.

It’s also a simple story – Dunk goes to a tournament where he hopes to prove himself. We follow his attempts to get to the competition, he also falls in love with a girl and takes part in a tug of war. His squire, Egg, a bald boy, also evokes warm feelings and a lot of smiles in the viewer. “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” is not only about comedy, it is also a large dose of political games and brutal violence.

Another great advantage of the series is its brevity. Six episodes are enough to avoid stretching the plot of George RR Martin’s novella too much.

The first episode of the series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” can be watched from today on HBO Max. The premiere on HBO will take place in the evening, at 8:50 p.m.
