The director of Silent Hill is planning a new adaptation. He says people praise him

“I made the first movie (Silent Hill) with a huge sense of responsibility – and the second one with even bigger” – said the French director Christophe Gans in an interview for the magazine Variety.

Gans emphasizes that despite a strong wave of criticism that befell the film Silent Hill in 2006, his reputation has increased significantly over the years. And that’s why, in the hope of finding new film language for the “generation 2.0 of Silent Hill fans”, the Frenchman undertook to create a film adaptation Silent Hill 2.

“If I have the chance, I will return to Silent Hill” – revealed Gans. At the same time, he wanted to create a film understandable and attractive also for viewers who have no contact with games.

Returning to Silent Hill was supposed to be part of it the revival of the Konami brand — next to successful Silent Hill 2 remake from Bloober Team and last year Silent Hill f. Unfortunately, the movie performs well terrible: na Metacritic only achieves 31/100 (4.4/10 from viewers), and on Rotten Tomatoes only 16% positive reviews critics at 30% of user ratings.
