Samsung showed the Galaxy S26 series. Check how much you will pay in Poland
Evolution instead of revolution
Samsung made its fans wait over a month longer for its latest flagship Galaxy S26 series smartphones. If anyone expected a revolution, it never happened. The latest devices are a continuation of the Korean evolution, where software facilities and artificial intelligence are more and more important than radical changes in hardware.
First of all, let’s give the floor to Arek, who saw the latest Samsung smartphones live.
Exynos returned to Korean flagships
The basic Samsung Galaxy S26 has a 6.3-inch screen with FullHD+ resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels). The larger variant, Galaxy S26+, is equipped with a 6.7-inch display with QuadHD+ resolution (1440 x 3120 pixels). Both panels are Dynamic AMOLED 2X with adaptive refreshment up to 120 Hz.
The smartphones are powered by the Exynos 2600 chip, made using 2 nm technology. It works with 12 GB of fast RAM and 256 or 512 GB of mass memory. The battery in the smaller model has a capacity of 4300 mAh, which is 300 mAh more than its predecessor. Nothing has changed in the plus version – the cell is again 4900 mAh.
Regarding the charging speed, it is as shown in the table below.
| Model | Landing wired |
Landing wireless |
| Samsung Galaxy S26 | Super Fast Charging (up to 25W) |
Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 |
| Samsung Galaxy S26+ | Super Fast Charging 2.0 (up to 45W) |

When it comes to photographic equipment in the latest smartphones, we get the same set as last year. It includes a main unit with a resolution of 50 Mpix, a 12 Mpix ultra-wide-angle camera and a 10 Mpix telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The front camera again has a resolution of 12 Mpix.
Overclocked Snapdragon in Galaxy S26 Ultra
The most powerful model in the offer, Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, has a 6.9-inch screen and a built-in S Pen stylus. The Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel has a QuadHD+ resolution (1440 x 3120 pixels) and offers image refreshment at a frequency of up to 120 Hz.
Unlike smaller models, the Ultra uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip. This system was manufactured in a 3 nm process. The device may have 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of mass memory or 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of data space.
The main camera in the Galaxy S26 Ultra has a resolution of 200 Mpix and a brighter lens with an f/1.4 aperture (f/1.7 in the Galaxy S25 Ultra). The system is complemented by a brighter 50 MPix telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom (f/2.9 instead of f/3.4), as well as a 10 MPix telephoto lens (f/2.4) with 3x magnification and a 50 MPix ultra-wide-angle camera (f/1.9).
Inside the case, the thickness of which increased from 8.2 mm to 7.9 mm, there was a 5000 mAh battery. It supports Super Fast Charging 3.0 wired charging with a power of up to 60 W and wireless Super Fast Wireless Charging with a power of up to 25 W.
New AI and video features
The Galaxy S25 series smartphones run on Android 16 with the One UI 8.5 interface. The software brings a lot of new features in the use of artificial intelligence. The most important novelty is Multi assistant. The user can use Bixby, Gemini and Perplexity agents. The side button of the device is configurable and allows you to quickly call up the selected AI assistant. The system enables voice control of applications and quick setting of reminders and meetings.
There is also a Now Nudge function, thanks to which the user receives up-to-date and accurate suggestions that help him maintain the rhythm of work without distraction. If a friend asks for photos from their last trip, the Galaxy S26 will automatically suggest images from the gallery, eliminating the need to search through albums or switch between apps. When it receives a meeting message, the Galaxy S26 can recognize related Calendar entries and check for conflicts.
One UI 8.5 also includes improved Now Brief and Circle to search with Google features. The former has become more proactive and personalized, and the latter has added extended multi-object recognition.
In the video field, Samsung has introduced the APV codec. It allows you to record and edit materials in 8K quality without losing image quality. Two notation standards are available: 422 HQ and 422 LQ. The new Buds4 Pro headphones allow you to operate AI assistants using voice commands without taking your phone out of your pocket.
Take care of your privacy with Privacy Display
An important new feature in the Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphone is the Privacy Display function. This technology controls how light is dispersed by the pixels, which helps maintain a clear image for the user while blocking the side view. The system is integrated directly with the display, so when it is turned off, the image quality remains unchanged regardless of the viewing angle. This solution works in both vertical and horizontal orientations, which distinguishes it from external foil privacy filters.
The user can define the moments of security activation or assign them to specific applications and password input fields. The software offers Partial Screen Privacy mode for notifications and Maximum Privacy Protection for full blocking of side visibility. According to the technical documentation, the operation of this module has little impact on the overall energy consumption of the smartphone.
Availability and price, starting promotions
Now it’s time for the bad news: it’s more expensive. Galaxy S26 series smartphones debut in Poland with prices shown in the table below. All smartphones come in cobalt purple, white, black and blue colors. You can also get gold and silver versions in official Samsung stores.
During pre-sale, you can take advantage of Samsung’s “traditional” promotion, in which the variant with more memory for data costs the same as the less equipped version. For example, we can buy the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra 12/512 GB at the price of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra in the 12/256 GB configuration. Lower prices are valid until March 10, 2026.
In the table below, I have shown how much more expensive Samsung’s latest flagships are (without promotion) compared to their predecessors (Galaxy S25 series devices), taking into account identical memory configurations.
| Model | Memory variants and price differences compared to its predecessor |
||
| 12/256 GB | 12/512 GB | 16GB/1TB | |
| Samsung Galaxy S26 | +PLN 300 | +PLN 700 | – |
| Samsung Galaxy S26+ | +600 PLN | +PLN 1,000 | – |
| Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra | +100 PLN | +PLN 500 | +PLN 700* |
*) Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in the 1 TB version had 12 GB of RAM in Poland.
When you decide to buy a new smartphone, you can take advantage of the buy-back program. For example, we can receive up to PLN 2,000 for the Galaxy S24 Ultra model. We can count on an amount of up to PLN 200 for a phone that falls into the “as long as it works” category, provided it is included in the program’s price list. It is possible to donate two devices.
New smartphones can also be rented under the Samsung Flex program.
