Do you have such a TV? There is an urgent thing to do
LG TVs with a new sound format
Eclipsa Audio, that is a new standard in surround sound is now available on LG TVs. They created it together Google and Samsung as a free, license-free alternative to Dolby Atmos.
This new type of audio works on a similar principle to Atmos in that it is object sound. So each sound has its own defined place in space, including the pitch, and everything is there optimized for each specific scene in the movie. This allows for greater immersion while watching, because we have the impression that the sounds naturally follow the sounds.
Owners will benefit from the new feature all new LG OLED and micro RGB evo TV models from 2026 In addition, the Korean giant also makes this novelty available in 2025 models, namely: C5, CS5, G5 and QNED9M.
At the moment it uses the Eclipsa format YouTubewhich offers content using this sound standard, but organization Alliance for Open Media hopes that it will soon be included in movies, TV series, games, music and other types of content. And not only on TVs, but also on PC, mobile devices and headphones.
Eclipsa Audio comes within LG TV update marked 33.30.80. This update brings too Dolby Atmos FlexConnect – an interesting function that allows you to: flexible connection of the TV with Dolby Atmos speakers via wireless communication – from the TV to the entire set of speakers (e.g. a soundbar and separate satellites connected to it) along with mechanism for calibrating each speaker and separating Atmos channels. Thanks to this the physical positioning of the speakers is not that importantbecause FlexConnect will “even it out”.
