Samsung and iPhones will finally get along. AirDrop for everyone

Samsung announced the implementation of AirDrop support for the Galaxy S26 series. The new function has been directly integrated with the standard QuickShare. This solution allows you to transfer photos and documents. Users can quickly exchange data between Samsung and Apple devices. There is no need to install external tools.

Google had previously decided to take the same step. The American company has built AirDrop compatibility into its file transfer system. This option was available on family smartphones in November last year Pixel 10. A month ago, the feature was also made available for the series Pixel 9.

The process of sharing news starts today, March 23, 2026. The software update will be sent to users first in South Korea. In the next stages, the function will be launched in international markets.

Among the regions selected for update was: Europe. The list also includes North America, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Latin America. Samsung declares that over time, AirDrop compatibility will extend to other phones in the company’s portfolio. The manufacturer has not yet provided a list of models or implementation dates for older devices.
