A frog with an interesting novelty. You’ll see the difference at checkout
We recently wrote about a planned new feature in the Żappka application. At that time, it was still unofficial information, but it had just been confirmed by the network’s press office. Customers can now use it, and they will see the change not only in the application, but above all at the checkout.
Żabka introduces e-receipts
Żabka announced the introduction of the e-receipts service. From now on, customers no longer have to take a paper receipt after making purchases in one of the chain’s stores. Instead, they will receive it in digital form, in the Żappka application.
When introducing e-receipt, we thought primarily about the convenience of our customers. We wanted them to always have the proof of purchase at hand, ready for viewing at any time. This intuitive solution makes everyday shopping even easier and allows us all to reduce paper consumption.
To use e-receipts, it is necessary to activate the service in the Żappka application. After this, the cashier will no longer give us a paper version at all, because it will not even be printed. However, to do this, you will need to scan the code from the application while shopping.
E-receipts will be available in the Żappka application for one year from the date of purchase. Additionally, for the next 4 years it will be possible to obtain them after contacting the Customer Support Center.
Every day, customers make as many as 4.2 million transactions in Żabka stores. The chain plans that as many as 16 million receipts per month will not require printing. According to estimates, this will save PLN 237,000. rolls of fiscal paper in 2026.
The new feature is being introduced gradually, so some customers will have to wait until they see it in their application.
