NVIDIA raises prices. It will be PLN 2,500 more expensive
We have been struggling with a crisis on the memory market for several months. During this time, RAM modules, semiconductor media, laptops, consoles and graphics cards have become significantly more expensive. However, it seems that this is not the end of the bad news. NVIDIA officially announced that it is raising the suggested prices for one of its higher-positioned devices.
This should not affect laptops with NVIDIA N1 and N1X chipsets
We are talking about NVIDIA DGX Spark, a small computer designed to work with artificial intelligence. Previously it cost $3,999, now it costs $4,699 (+ VAT). This is a difference of over PLN 2,500. The changes have already taken effect, but only apply to the Founders Edition. Variants from OEM partners (e.g. ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI) may or may not become more expensive.
What is the reason for such a decision? DRAM shortages, of course. The Mini PC for Green Professionals uses up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and an SSD with a capacity of 4 TB.
And what does this mean for the typical consumer market? Probably nothing bad. It is true that later this year we will receive machines with NVIDIA N1 and N1X systems, i.e. ARM processors related to GB10 and DGX Spark. But they will have much smaller memory – 16, 32 and 64 GB. Availability and pricing should be relatively “normal”.
