Biedronka changes its regulations. The new rules are controversial

The deposit system, because it is still new to many people, always arouses a lot of emotions. Biedronka announced that it is updating its current regulations and deleting several old provisions.

Biedronka and the update of the regulations. What’s worth knowing?

The discount store informs that packaging subject to a deposit cannot be creased or damaged. Moreover, the label placed on them must be legible. And if it wasn’t obvious to anyone until now, it is now. The new version of the regulations even includes a provision that the store may refuse to accept packaging that does not meet the above conditions. The updated version also includes a provision informing about the type of returned packaging. Biedronka maintained the principle that the condition for accepting the packaging by the store is to have a given product in its current offer. This recipe may seem a bit controversial to some.

Biedronka’s new regulations have been simplified

Referring to Bussiness Insider, a change that is worth noting and which Biedronka customers will be particularly pleased with is the lack of a provision regarding the need to make a return within 12 months from the date of purchase. We can therefore forget about the one-year expiry date of the returned bottle once and for all. The previous version of the regulations had such a provision.

The paragraph regarding vouchers has also been completely removed. However, this is not the end of the cleaning. The new rules also do not specify the information regarding the need to have a receipt with proof of purchase when returning bottles.

The act introducing the deposit system gives it a receipt-free nature – the consumer can return bottles in any store that has joined the system.
