AMD Ryzen 9000X3D Processors: We Know How Much 3D V-Cache Memory They Will Get
AMD Ryzen 9000X3D series processors will debut later this year. We know how much 3D V-Cache we can expect from them.
AMD recently presented new Ryzen 9000 processors. However, these will not satisfy gamers, because the company itself admitted that for games, the Ryzen 7000X3D models are simply better. That is why many people are waiting for the new generation of systems with 3D V-Cache cache, which is supposed to hit stores this year. We just learned an important element of their specification.

Earlier information suggested that AMD was preparing several new features for its X3D series processors. We already know that this probably includes unlocking full overclocking, which was not possible in earlier models. But will anything else change, such as the amount of 3D V-Cache memory? Unfortunately, probably not.
The latest rumors reveal that the Ryzen 9000X3D models will have exactly the same amount of L3 cache as the previous generation. In this respect, AMD has no intention of changing anything. However, this is not such bad news, because the increase in performance should be significant anyway. The configuration of the three probable systems should look like this:
- 9950X3D – 32MB each CCD (64MB L3) + 64MB 3D V-Cache (128MB) + 16MB L2 + 1MB L1
- 9900X3D – 32MB each CCD (64MB L3) + 64MB 3D V-Cache (128MB) + 12MB L2 + 768KB L1
- 9800X3D – 32MB each CCD (32MB L3) + 64MB 3D V-Cache (96MB) + 8MB L2 + 512KB L1
AMD Ryzen 9000X3D processors are expected to debut at the turn of the third and fourth quarter of 2024.
