Be careful when a "friend" asks for BLIK. Meet Jack the Impersonator

BLIK may debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. We are talking about as much as PLN 8 billion

It is worth remembering that this is not official information, and Bloomberg refers to its internal sources in the Polish Payment Standard (PSP), which is the operator of the BLIK system. It is worth emphasizing that the founders of PSP were the largest banks operating in our country.

More specifically, PSP analyzed whether conducting an initial public offering on the WSE makes sense. Therefore, even if the above-mentioned sources are reliable, this does not mean BLIK’s stock exchange debut.

Currently, it is not known why the payment system would be listed on the WSE at all. Money.pl considers two scenarios here. The first is to obtain funds for the possible expansion of BLIK beyond the borders of our country. This would coincide with recent tests of international transfers in Euro.

The second option is that some of the founders would like to withdraw from BLIK, but the others do not want to buy their shares. This problem would be solved by issuing shares. However, taking into account the constantly growing BLIK customer base and its enormous development potential, this is a less likely scenario.
