There is a lot of talk about appropriate security of our accounts, especially bank accounts, where we keep our money. One of the most effective methods are the so-called hardware keys, without which you cannot log in to the bank. Fraudsters decided to take advantage of this.
Remove these apps urgently
CSIRT KNF issued a warning against applications that pretend to be security keys to popular banks operating in Poland. They impersonate, among others, ING Bank Śląski, mBank, SGB Bank, Bank Millennium, Credit Agricole 24 or Alior Bank.
The apps are likely distributed through ads on social media and search engine results. Distribution is often also done via Telegram channels or fake websites.
Anyway, you should not install applications from untrusted sources. These specific ones ask for permissions to Accessibility Features, which gives them a wide range of opportunities to operate and take control of the device. This is a simple step to losing money from your account.
