YouTube angered users. The new ads are a nightmare

YouTube has introduced new ads for users who do not use the paid Premium version of the website. They are long, impossible to skip and have already pissed off a lot of users.

YouTube announced the introduction of a new ad format. The good news is that it only applies to users who watch the website on a TV. The bad news is that they last as long as 30 seconds and cannot be skipped.

Interestingly, this format has been tested since at least 2023. However, it is only now coming into force for all users. According to the information provided by Google, has been available since March 2 this year, so you may have already come across such materials.

While there are ways to bypass YouTube ads on a computer without using Premium, it is very difficult on a TV. Using the website without paying a subscription fee is starting to look more and more like advertising on TV. They may still not be as long as the mythical blocks on Polsat, but they are certainly equally irritating.

The best way to bypass ads is unfortunately to use YouTube Premium. Prices in Poland are as follows:

• YouTube Premium Family (up to 5 people living at the same address) – PLN 59.99 per month
