Windows will be a castrate. A key tool disappears

Microsoft has confirmed a major change in future versions of Windows. The classic control panel will soon cease to exist.

System Windows has been on the market for over 30 years and has been constantly developing. Unfortunately, this means that some of the elements that users have become accustomed to over time become outdated and need to be replaced. Not everyone likes this, however.

Microsoft is getting rid of the Control Panel

For this reason, it should come as no surprise that the vision of completely replacing the classic Control panel The new Settings menu is causing a lot of controversy. Especially since Microsoft itself seemed not entirely convinced about it. Suffice it to say that the new settings first appeared in 2012 with the premiere of Windows 8 and since then “Windows” have been functioning in a strange suspension with two independent system configuration tools.

However, it seems that the end of this strange dual power is closer than further. The Redmond giant confirmed for the first time that plans to completely eliminate the Control Panel and replace it entirely with Settings. This information appeared on the help page and sounds rather unambiguous.

Windows will be a castrate. A key tool disappears

We don’t yet know when the Control Panel will disappear from Windows (probably to the despair of many users). Currently, the manufacturer maintains it for compatibility reasons and the need to migrate some functions to the new environment. However, it seems that the appearance of such a message and the rumors that have been circulating for some time about the imminent premiere of Windows 12 have a lot in common.
