They hid it on Prime Video. This series is worth digging out – it’s still relevant

We’re talking about Erin Doherty (she played a psychologist in “Puberty”), who has now had a really successful year. The British actress has been in the spotlight recently. No wonder she was finally noticed – she has received a lot of awards recently. She won a Primetime Emmy Award, a Critics Choice Award, and a Golden Globe Award for her riveting performance in the miniseries “Coming of Age.”

Some may also recognize her from the role of Princess Anne in the Netflix series “The Crown” and Mary Carrin in the Disney+ production “A Thousand Blows”. It turns out that at the beginning of her career, she starred in a series that should be seen by all those who have their noses buried in social media.

Most people may not know that Doherty played the lead role in the six-episode BBC psychological drama from 2022. Back then, she was still a little-known British actress. She played the role of a lonely twenty-year-old who, after the death of her childhood friend – Chloe (played by Poppy Gilbert), whose fascinating life she followed through social media, assumes a new identity. All this in order to enter the seemingly perfect life and wealthy social circles of the deceased. But above all, to find out what really happened to her old friend.

The foreign press assessed that Erin Doherty reached the heights of her talent in the series “Chloe”. Some even believe that her role in this series is a slightly underrated, but certainly incredibly moving performance in her career. Is this really a piece of cinema that can still give us goosebumps?
