There was supposed to be a ban on phones in kindergartens, but they went a bit too far
The Ministry of Education maintains – phones are banned, but let’s not be so radical
The ban on the use of digital devices in kindergartens has been maintained in kindergartens, but some exceptions have been introduced. It was supposed to be a “screen-free zone”, but it didn’t work out that way. Instead of a ban, we now have a restriction on the use of screens in kindergartens. But what does this actually mean?
Teachers pointed out that the original version of the draft regulation was too simplistic. In this way, it excluded, for example, the use of interactive boards, which were purchased by institutions as part of EU projects and are used to make classes more attractive for the youngest.
However, if there are exceptions…
However, there are also voices from the other side that the new version of the regulation may lead to the maintenance of pathological overuse of screens in educational institutions for the youngest. When there is a way to circumvent a regulation, Poles like to use such solutions.
