The highly anticipated series is available on Prime Video. 8 dynamic episodes
“Young Sherlock” – for teenagers or adults?
Speaking of young Sherlock, it’s no wonder that the film at times resembles a production like The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. In my opinion, both adults and teenagers will like it. The series turns stiff Victorian England upside down, at the same time filling it with modern energy and dynamic scenes of escapes and fights. But one thing must also be said – the series offers viewers an intriguing mystery centered around unique characters and unusual circumstances. Before the screening, no one expected that the life of 19-year-old Sherlock (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) could be so colorful. It is also impossible to ignore the fact that in the series we will also see Colin Firth, who played the role of Sir Bucephalus Hodge. And a truly impressive fighting show will be given, more than once, by Princess Gulun Shou’an (Zine Tseng).
Sherlock is not such a saint after all
We meet the hero when his brother breaks him out of prison, where he ended up, as he puts it, “through a book”. It turns out that Sherlock, at the age of 19, is famous for his mastery of pickpocketing and cannot stay out of trouble. As a “penance”, his brother gives him a job as a butler at the university, where troubles find him on their own. He befriends scholarship student James Moriarty and the two are soon accused of murder. A race against time begins, as the young men have to do a lot of research to clear themselves of the charges.
“Young Sherlock”, as one might expect, is receiving only rave reviews. No wonder, it’s a gripping story about the beginnings of a beloved hero. This time he managed to be shown as agile and brave, so much so that he would also fit in in the modern world.
We can watch 8 episodes of “Young Sherlock” on Prime Video from March 4, 2026.
