She received a call from the bank. After hearing what she heard, she ran to the ATM

The phone rings from the bank – the employee has information for us

The woman was called by an unknown man pretending to be an employee of her bank. He informed her that someone used her personal data and applied for a loan of PLN 75,000 on her behalf. Such a large amount stressed out a resident of Grajewo. Acting in panic, the woman believed the caller’s advice that the only correct course of action in this situation was to withdraw all savings from the account. And as soon as possible.

She ran to the ATM and used the BLIK codes

A resident of Grajewo, wanting to save the funds accumulated in her account, obediently followed the instructions of the “bank advisor”. She deposited cash in an ATM using the BLIK codes provided. Moreover, during the conversation with the man, she was switched to other alleged employees of this institution. All interlocutors seemed to take the matter very seriously and often referred to the prosecutor’s office and criminal consequences if he did not follow the orders.

Only when the emotions subsided did the woman realize that she had been fooled by fraudsters.

The bank never asks you to withdraw money

And certainly not over the phone. It also does not ask for any payments or transfer of BLIK codes. Currently, we can verify bank employees calling us (this option is often available in the application). If we are not sure who we are talking to, it is best to hang up and contact the bank ourselves via the official banking hotline.
