Samsung is preparing the powerful Exynos 2700. The end of Qualcomm’s dictate
It’s no secret that Samsung’s relationship with Qualcomm is a complicated marriage of convenience. In the upcoming generation of Galaxy S26 Ultra variant is driven solely by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5and our own, very promising Exynos 2600 will go to base and Plus modelsbut he will only have 25% share in the entire series. However, according to the latest report by Kiwoom Securities, the tide is set to turn next year.
Exynos 2700: Ulysses comes into play
Analysts are optimistic. Park Yoo-ak of Kiwoom Securities predicts that mass production of Exynos 2700 will start in full swing in the second half of 2026. The key to success is to be the second generation of the technological process 2nm GAA (SF2P).
This is where the silent war is taking place. Improved yield in the 2nm process is expected to be so significant that Samsung plans to place its system in as many as half of the Galaxy S27 series. This is a twofold increase in share compared to the current generation. Perhaps it will also be available in Ultra variants.
The Exynos 2700 system, developed under the code name Ulysses, is expected to offer 10-core processor in cluster configuration 4+1+4+1 and a new one Xclipse 970 graphics based on AMD technology. If engineers manage to tame temperature and energy efficiency, Qualcomm’s monopoly may be broken.
Analysts from Kiwoom Securities estimate that thanks to the offensive with Exynos 2700, Samsung’s division responsible for integrated circuits he will eventually recover. Its revenue is expected to increase by 21% next year to 36.4 trillion won (approximately USD 24.8 billion), and operating profit is expected to amount to 1.8 trillion won. According to the expert, this will allow the company to get out of the financial hole and return to profitability in this segment.
If the predictions come true, the Galaxy S27 may be the first smartphone in years to feature… the Exynos variant will not be marginalizedand Samsung will finally emerge from Qulacomm’s shadow.
