The collaboration between Mercedes and Starbucks is not the first project of this type. Already in 2022, the coffee shop chain started a similar cooperation with Volvo. At that time, 15 charging stations were built at Starbucks stores on the Seattle-Denver route. Volkswagen has been placing its chargers at Walmart and Target chain stores for several years. Tesla and from 2018 it plans to build its own network of chargers combined with the construction of new shopping centers with cinemas and restaurants. The first such center is to be built in Santa Monica. So far, however, this project has not entered the implementation phase.
