“Love and Death” what is the series about?

The action of the series takes the viewer to the surface a quiet suburb of Dallas where two families lead an idyllic life. The year is 1978. Candy and Pat Montgomery and Betty and Allan Gore are part of the local community, they are friends with each other, they eagerly attend church and choir practice, and they give the impression that their lives are perfect. The situation changes when Candy (Elisabeth Olsen) and Allan (Jesse Plemons) start an affairwhich over time will lead to tragedy. Slowly, each of them’s lives are getting out of control – and the viewer has to solve a murder case, and not just any murder, because the victim was attacked with an ax and died as a result of 41 blows.

A story that shocked America

The series is a perfect example true crime productionwith psychological elements. He stayed based on the true story of Candy Montgomery, who was accused of murdering her friend Betty Gore. The whole of America was alive with this famous trial. Ultimately, the woman was acquitted by the jury because she claimed she had acted in self-defense. This verdict also caused a huge stir.
