KSeF has been with us for 5 days and a threat has already appeared
They ask for opinions about KSeF and want to extort data and money
The Ministry of Finance is trying to keep its finger on the pulse and is already starting to warn against this type of hacker attacks and data extortion attempts. This was to be expected. According to pit.pl, on Wednesday (February 4), the first people received e-mails on behalf of the Warsaw Praga Tax Office. The email had seemingly very innocent content and offered help and support:
Please let us know if you need training or information support. We will also be grateful for feedback on whether you are ready to use the KSeF system.
Of course, the recipient of the email must express his or her opinion by clicking on the attachment. In this way, fraudsters have a unique opportunity to access your data.
A message warning against this type of attacks has already appeared on the website of the Ministry of Finance. We also remind you that in such a situation it is always worth taking a moment to check the sender’s address carefully. In the case of a fake email, it differs from the official one by a small sign or an additional letter. If you are suspicious of an e-mail or SMS message you have received, it is always worth calling the tax office and explaining the entire situation on the hotline. It’s always better to breathe cold twice than get burned.
