Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus officially. We already have them in the workshop
Processors Intel Arrow Lake debuted on the market in October 2024. And while the Panther Lake family appeared later in the case of mobile devices, desktop users were left in the lurch. Until now, because Blue is refreshing its offer. All previous rumors were confirmed and LGA 1851 platform will soon officially receive new CPUs, representatives of the series Arrow Lake Refresh.
The new processors will hit stores on March 26, 2026
This time we get it only two models – Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and Core Ultra 5 250K Plus. Mentioned in early leaks Intel Core Ultra 9 290K Plus has been canceled. Both systems use the same architectures and lithography as their predecessors, but we will see more cores and threads here. The clock speeds remain roughly the same.
According to charts from Americans, Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus is to be on average 15% more efficient in games from the predecessor i up to 92% more powerful in benchmarks than the competing AMD Ryzen 7 9700X. In the case of Intel Core 5 250K Plus, this advantage drops to 13% compared to the “ordinary” Arrow Lake, but increases to 103% compared to AMD Ryzen 5 9600X.
Of course, we advise you to approach these numbers with caution and reserve your conclusions until the review. Especially that the processors in question are already in our hands. Additionally, Blue measurements were made on various platforms adapted to the official IMC specification (7200 MT/s for Arrow Lake Plus, 6400 MT/s for Arrow Lake and 5600 MT/s for Ryzen).
However, it must be emphasized that Intel clearly wants to compete with the price. The MSRP was set at sequentially $199 and $299i.e. PLN 729 and PLN 1,095 (+ VAT). Tmuch less than the ceiling from which the basic models started in the form of Core Ultra 5 245K and Core Ultra 7 265K ($309 and $394). The memory controller has also been improved and there are software optimizations. You will be able to read about the changes in detail soon.
