Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Design is a powerful ceramic flagship

The new Honor smartphone is available in colors Slate Gray and Moonstone. Its design refers to the classic lines of Porsche sports cars. The back of the housing is made of microcrystalline nano-ceramics. The manufacturer claims that it is the only real ceramic on the smartphone market.

This material is characterized by: hardness 8.5 degrees on the Mohs scale. A0 class mirror polish makes the phone pleasant to the touch. The device became 10% lighter from its predecessor. The camera island now resembles the characteristic Porsche matrix headlights.

The front of the device is curved 6.71-inch OLED screen. The LTPO panel offers a range of refreshes from 1 to 120 Hz. Resolution 1.5K is to guarantee a very sharp image. The display is protected by special glass Honor Giant Rhino.

The brightness of the display is impressive. Globally this 1800 rivets. In HDR mode this value increases up to 6000 nits. Eye safety, in turn, is to ensure PWM dimming with a frequency of 4320 Hz. This is undoubtedly one of the best screens currently available in smartphones.

The heart of the device is the system Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5made in technology 3nm. It is supported by a huge amount of RAM. The most powerful version has up to 24 GB RAM LPDDR5X. User data goes to fast memory UFS 4.0.

Smartphone supports Honor Hongyan satellite communication. It allows communication via Tiantong and Beidou satellites. The housing meets IP68 and IP69K resistance standards. The phone is therefore completely resistant to dust and strong jets of hot water.

The main photographic module consists of three cameras. The main unit has resolution 50 Mpix and a bright lens with a diaphragm f/1.6. The biggest news, however, is 200 Mpix telephoto lens with Kepler lens architecture. It should provide great photo quality at 3.7x optical zoom.

You can buy additional accessories for your phone professional photography set. It includes a magnetic grip with a physical shutter button. The case has a 67 mm filter ring and the ability to mount a 200 mm Nox lens. Image stabilization with CIPA 6.5 certificate allows you to do blur-free hand-held photos with a 3-second exposure time.

Honor applied here silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 7200 mAh. This is a huge value for such a slim phone. Energy can be replenished instantly thanks to wired charging 120 W. Wireless charging offers power 80 W.

The device works under system control Magic UI 10.0 based on Android 16. On board we will also find Stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra sound and ultrasonic fingerprint reader. The smartphone offers a full package of modern communication standards, incl WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.

Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design has debuted on the Chinese market for now. The prices are as follows:

• the 16/512 GB version costs 7,999 yuan (PLN 4,165),
• the 24 GB/1 TB version costs 8,999 yuan (PLN 4,686).
