Artificial intelligence in Google Photos can already do a lot – from the magic eraser to creating cyclists or animations with AI. Now the giant from Mountain View has decided to use its algorithms for purely entertainment purposes. New a feature called Me Meme has just started reaching users.

The mechanism of operation is simple and uses Google’s AI algorithms. The tool allows for quick processing your own selfie into a popular meme format. As we read in the official message on the Google support forum, the feature is currently being rolled out to users in the United States.

The process of creating your own meme has been simplified as much as possible so that anyone can do it in a few seconds without knowing how to use graphic programs. First, in the Google Photos application, select the Create option and then Me Meme. In the next step, the user chooses a meme templatefrom Google’s ready-made library or by uploading your own base image. Then adds a photo of his facepreferably a clear selfie. After clicking Generate, the AI ​​matches the user’s face to the selected image.

The finished work can be done save, generate again (if the effect is not satisfactory) or share it with your friends immediately. Google suggests using photos where the face is well lit and facing straight ahead for best results.
