Do you have an iPhone? Be careful with these emails. Your photos are in danger

A trap for your memories

Cybercriminals send emails that look like official communications. They claim that your iCloud drive is completely full. They threaten that if you do not respond, all your photos and videos will be permanently deleted. This is a classic method of building pressure.

The messages often have the headline “Apple Warnings.” However, the senders’ addresses immediately arouse suspicion. Instead of the official domain of the manufacturer, we will see there, for example, Allegro or Notino drugstore. Fraudsters impersonate well-known brands to bypass spam filters.

Two ways to steal money

The attack follows two different scenarios. In the first variant, you reach a page with a hidden subscription. At the beginning you only pay about 2 euros (over PLN 8). Then a much larger amount disappears from your account every month. In such a situation, you can still try to recover the funds from the service provider.

The second variant is much more dangerous for your wallet. Scammers offer lifetime cloud storage for only PLN 7. They only give you 5 minutes to decide. If you rush and enter your card details, you will lose control of your money. There are no more returns here.

Don’t get robbed!

Please note that Apple never asks for subsidies in this way. If in doubt, check your account balance directly in your iPhone settings. This is the only reliable source of information about free space in the cloud.

Always look at the address of the website where you provide your card details. Official payments only take place through verified Apple systems. Do not click on links from suspicious emails. Your vigilance is the best shield against thieves.
